Measurement of such biomarkers can provide valuable information for disease prevention and early diagnosis. The Group of Metabolomics aims to develop the Omics database for discovering useful biomarkers through the global identification and quantification (i.e. multi-omics studies) of proteins and small compounds found in blood or urine specimens. Such multi-omics studies can contribute to advancement of personalized prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as identification of disease mechanisms and development of novel therapeutics.
